Not long after starting the Free Spirits project I was contacted by a journalist named Elaine Ford at the ABC. Elaine had heard what I was doing and was kind enough to produce an article to highlight the SANDS cause and also tell our story about Bax and the drawings.

Following Elaine's article I was contacted by another journalist named Andrew McMillen who wrote a feature piece in The Weekend Australian Review. Both these people were incredibly compassionate and reached a nationwide audience with their stories. Since that time the project took off and I have had the pleasure of producing sketches for families throughout Australia and internationally.
